Honesty
In life, you gotta be honest with yourself. Don’t lie to your own face. Be honest! Look in the mirror! You know exactly which mirror: your bedroom ceiling mirror! 🙂
PS: I wonder what percentage of the globe’s population has an extra large crystal clear ceiling mirror in their bedroom. To help them stay honest to themselves 🙂 I imagine the conversation with the handyman when they come to install your Venetian mirror: “M’am, where shall I glue it?” “Well, take it in the bedroom, set it on the ceiling, above the bed. Oh, don’t worry, it’s just an annoying assignment from this self development seminar I am going to.”
I would like to see a map of the Earth with little dots to mark all the ceiling mirrors in every country like those maps where you can see which areas on Earth have the most lights on during the night. And I would like to be surprised, to see something completely unpredictable, like an absolute lack of overlap between the two maps. To see the highest density of ceiling mirrors in the areas with no lights on during the night 😀
Or to see the Southern Hemisphere completely covered in ceiling mirrors dots and the Northern Hemisphere completely bare 🙂
But, to be really honest with myself (since it’s the topic of this post), if you want your ceiling mirror to be a source of happiness in your life, forget about buying a crystal clear one! Forget about it! That would only make you miserable. We all hate ourselves, let’s face it!
A much better ceiling mirror is a distorting one! Get yourself a pair of funhouse ceiling mirrors, glue them exactly above your bed! Like that, when you open your eyes in the morning you set such a low bar for your self image that when you finally go to the bathroom to look in the crystal clear mirror you will fall in love with yourself. Admit it, be honest! 🙂
