When The Bullshit Hits The Fan And Nobody Sees It

This famous and very much applauded lady called Brene Brown keeps firing wisdom thoughts, backed by deep research and everyone is mesmerized. Lately, she was speaking about being alone. About how she has the courage to stand alone and we should all have the courage to stand alone. Oh, so brave! Yes, you’re right. Then the interviewer asks: “How would you define yourself, Brene Brown?”

“Well, I am a mum, a partner, a Texan..” And you claim you have the courage to stand alone? :)) And everyone is applauding?!  You’ve just defined the core of your identity in relationship to other people!! You have no fucking clue about the courage of standing alone in life. Don’t pose as Nelson Mandela in jail, when you’re actually in your kitchen with an apron, “researching” the emotional impact of eating duck with oranges together with your kids and husban.
